Arizona Renaissance Festival
The Arizona Renaissance Festival is a great way to spend a fun filled vacation day with your family or friends.
The festival is open every Saturday and Sunday (rain or shine) for about two months in February and March of each year. The Arizona Festival is one of the largest in the nation. You can dress up in costume or just go Arizona casual when you visit the fair. There are many stages with continuous live entertainment, a Medieval Arts and Crafts fair, shops to buy trinkets in and great food choices such as turkey legs, pot pies and more.

People dress in great Costumes at the Festival The shows are entertaining with professional performers doing acrobatics, singing, dancing, and showing off birds of prey.
Walking around and people watching is also a lot of fun with many people getting into the spirit of the festival and dressing in costume.

Some of the Costumes are Hilarious
There are games and rides to entertain and delight youngsters. You can ride the assault catapult, walk up Jacobs ladder, test your skill with the bow, crossbow or with paintball. You can even throw a battle axe. The marketplace has over 200 artists displaying hand made wares. You will find leather work, candle making, glass blowing, blacksmiths, weaving, carving and pottery. You can find wooden and real swards and shields, exotic oils, carved furniture, tapestries, clothing and more.
Even the Mother Goose's Goose Dresses up! I went to the festival recently with my family and had a great time. There is plenty to keep you amused during the day and the park is big enough that overcrowding doesn’t seem to be a problem. Seeing shows like the Medieval Babes is a lot of fun. The pictures on this page were taken on that trip.
