Isla Roatan Diving Vacation
Isla Roatan is a top diving vacation spot surrounded by beautiful turquoise waters. Is is a great place to relax and recharge your batteries.
Roatan is a small island at only 33 miles long and 4 miles wide. It is located about 30 miles off the cost of Honduras in the Caribbean. There are many fine places to stay on Roatan. I went there with a couple of friends on vacation and we stayed at Anthony's Key resort. It became our tropical vacation home for a week and was a blast. Sea Turtle - RoatanAnthony's Key Anthony's Key is an all inclusive resort that is one of the top places to stay. It is exciting, rustic and fun. Anthony's Key have been in business for 40 years and do a great job. Anthony's Key cabins are on a small island just off of Isla Roatan. The cabins stretch over pristine turquoise waters of the Caribbean. At night you fall asleep peacefully listening to the warm waters lap up onto the shore under the cabin. The cabins are great, but one word of caution. The cabins do not have air conditioning. This is no problem for the cabins in the front of the island (nearest to Roatan) with a tropical breeze. I stayed in one of these cabins and had an excellent breeze. However, some of the cabins on the back of the island didn’t have good breezes. A friend of mine stayed in one of these cabins and was a bit hot at times!
Anthony's Key Cabins
The diving is great off of Roatan and there is abundant sea life to see. You can set up dive expeditions though Anthony’s key. There is a healthy reef with abundant sea life including sea turtles, huge groupers, parrot fish, barrel sponges and more. Roatan is famous for dolphin interactions. If you visit make sure to invest some time in a dolphin adventure. Dolphins are extremely friendly creatures and seem to enjoy humans as much as we enjoy them.
