Milan Italy is a historic city with a rich cultural and artistic heritage.

Visit the La Scala opera house, ancient churches and galleries. One of Milan’s most famous residents is the world famous Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper.

Make sure and visit the Castello Sforzesco. The Castello Sforzesco is one the biggest citadels in Europe. It ow houses several of the city's museums and art collections.

Milan is one of Europe’s richest cities with many stylish shops, galleries and restaurants. The citizens are well dressed and work focused. It is also huge in furniture and homewares (the beanbag is a Milanese brainchild).

Milan is also a hub for risk-taking contemporary art and lifestyle. It is on the cutting edge of Italy’s fashion and design industry.

The nightlife is active with an avant-garde theatre scene. Extended happy hours at hopping clubs feature platters of delicious bar food.

Note: August is not the time to travel to Milan. It gets very hot and muggy with way too many mosquitoes! Many of the locales take holidays during this time.
