The Pushkin Museum
Moscow is the political, historical, and business center of Russia. I spent some time there and was able to see many of the incredible sites and lean about its rich history, culture and people. This page has been created to provide a quick overview of a few of the major sites. There are many others.
The Novodevichy Cemetery
This is one of the most amazing and prestigious cemeteries I have ever seen. It occupies an area of around 16 acres. It has the remains of many famous Russian writers, artists, composers and politicians. For example, it has the remains of Stalin’s second wife Nadezhda Alliluyeva and Soviet premier Nikita Khrushchev.
Tomb of Nikita Krushchev
The uniqueness is that many of the tombstones tell the story of why that person was important. This is incredibly intriguing.
The tombstone sculptures are stunning and mesmerizing.
