St Basil's Cathedral Day and Night! Red Square Red Square is one of the most beautiful plazas in all of Europe. When you walk into Red Square you will face south to see the majestic and stunning St Basils Cathedral.
To the east are the Gum stores (Department stores). To the west behind a high wall is the imposing Kremlin. If you get this far make sure you check out the Kremlin Armory.

The Pushkin Museum
Moscow is the political, historical, and business center of Russia. I spent some time there and was able to see many of the incredible sites and lean about its rich history, culture and people. This page has been created to provide a quick overview of a few of the major sites. There are many others.

The Kremlin The Novodevichy Cemetery This is one of the most amazing and prestigious cemeteries I have ever seen. It occupies an area of around 16 acres. It has the remains of many famous Russian writers, artists, composers and politicians. For example, it has the remains of Stalin’s second wife Nadezhda Alliluyeva and Soviet premier Nikita Khrushchev.

Tomb of Nikita Krushchev
The uniqueness is that many of the tombstones tell the story of why that person was important. This is incredibly intriguing.

Novodevichy Cemetery
The tombstone sculptures are stunning and mesmerizing.

Novodevichy Cemetery 1 Here are more Moscow Tourism sites worth considering:
Bolshoi Theatre The Bolshoi is one of the best and most famous stages for ballet and opera in the world. The architecture is exceptional on the outside and stunning on the inside. If you like ballet or opera this is a must see during your visit!

The Bolshoi Theater Subway Stations The Moscow subway is one of the worlds largest system carrying millions of passengers a day. What makes it really unique is the beautiful artwork, sculptures nomadic musical groups, trinket shops and more. It is great fun on your vacation to enjoy this half subway-station, half museum while you wait for your train!
