National Parks in Oregon
There are two national parks in Oregon to visit on a fun and cheap vacation.
Explore the deepest lake in the US at Crater Lake, or visit a replica city of where Lewis and Clark once spent the winter.Crater Lake National Park - Located in Southern Oregon this park boasts one of the most famous lakes on the planet. It has an unusual blue color and has a beautiful mountain setting. At 1,943 feet it is the deepest lake in the US and the 7th deepest in the world. The water is crystal clear. The surrounding forest is mostly untouched. There is auto and boat touring, hiking and cross country skiing in the winter.

Crater Lake National Park - NPS PictureLewis and Clark National Historical Park - This park is located in Northwestern Oregon. The 33 members of the Lewis and Clark expedition spend the 1805-06 winter at Fort Clatsop. A replica of the fort is the center of attraction at the park.
