Princess Alaska Cruise
A Princess Alaska cruise is a great way to enjoy the beauty and majesty of Alaska.
Many of the cruses have a base price of less than $100/night.
I went on this cruise during the summer of 2010 and had a blast.
Princess Cruise lines
have fine ships, helpful staff, excellent food and entertainment.
The staff works hard to make sure the passengers have a great time.
Standard fare is the
Alaska Inside Passage Cruise.
This is a protected area from the harsh elements. There are many fascinating things to see and do on the trip, and in the ports of call.
Princess Cruise in Alaska
Depending on the length of the cruise and the ports of call you can see such great areas as: Victoria British Columbia, Ketchikan, Juneau, Tracy Arm Fjord, Skagway, and more.
Tracy Arm Fjord,
In Juneau you can see the amazing Mendenhall Glacier, go whale watching, hiking, biking, kayaking, zip lining, rafting and fishing.
Skagway is a sleepy little town where you can visit the shops, hike, take a ride on a horse drawn carriage and more.
In Ketchikan you can take a walking tour and see, Totem poles, Ketchikan Creek and the Falls and a salmon hatchery. One of the world’s largest collections of Totems is at Ketchikan. You can also see Eagles flying above and many sea planes.
Glacier Bay is beautiful. There is an abundance of marine and terrestrial wildlife, snow capped mountains and deep fjords. One of the most breathtakingly beautiful sites I saw was a mountain top that poked through the clouds. It reminded me of the famous Mt Everest peak in Tibet.

Departure ports are Vancouver, British Columbia, San Francisco, Seattle, and Anchorage. Some of the trips are round trips, some end up in a different port. Trips are usually 7 to 10 nights in length.
Keeping your costs down on a Princess Alaska Cruise
• To keep your costs down be careful of upgrading to a balcony or suite. Your price can increase by 80%- 200% or more!
