For thirteen days starting on Feb 23, 1836 and ending on March 6, 1836 one of the most famous battles of American History was fought for Texas freedom at the Alamo Americans against the Mexican General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna.
David Crockett (famous frontiersman), Jim Bowie (powerful knife fighter), Colonel Travis and more fought to the death. This is a must see if visiting San Antonio.
The San Antonio River Walk is a beautiful public walk that is lined with individual businesses. It is a relaxing place to spend an enjoyable evening. You can wander about taking in the sites, eat an enjoyable dinner with friends and family or take a river cruise.

(also called the Sunken Gardens) are a Texas historical Landmark in San Antonio. This is a great place on your vacation to relax and enjoy beautiful floral gardens, bonsai trees, Japanese Pagodas, goldfish ponds, and calming waterfalls.
