There are many fun things to do in Dallas Texas.
I lived there several years and it is one of my favorite cities.
The people are great and there is never a lack of interesting activities to entertain and delight.
Visit the sixth floor museum in Dealey Plaza where Lee Harvey Oswald shot John Kennedy. See the South-fork ranch (used on the TV series Dallas) and the Dallas World Aquarium.

The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza
You will lean about the life, legacy and the assassination of John F. Kennedy. There are artifacts, documentary film, photographs, eyewitness accounts, key evidence areas, and interactive educational programming.

Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center
Not only is the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony center home to the world-class Dallas Symphony Orchestra, it has other Dallas-based cultural organizations like the Dallas Wind Symphony and the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra. It was opened in 1989 and has been the center of artistic excellence in Dallas ever since.
Dallas World Aquarium
There is a wide array of marine species from around the world including fish such as sharks, rays, clown fish and angelfish.
You will also see the amazing New Guinea Flashlight fish.
Besides the aquariums you will explore different ecosystems. See fascinating animals as the Giant River Otter and the Black Footed Penguin.

Southfork Ranch is one of the most famous ranches in the world. It was the primary filming location for 356 episodes of the internationally known “Dallas” TV series. “Dallas” was one of the longest running series in Television history.
There is memorabilia such as the gun that shot J.R., the family tree, Lucy’s wedding dress and more. There are 10 ballrooms, 63,000 square feet of indoor event space, and acres of land. This provides plenty of room for guided tours, private parties, special events and more.

Dallas Museum of Art
Located in the downtown Dallas Arts district, the Dallas Museum of Art has over 24,000 pieces of art from around the world. This art is from ancient to modern times. There are many programs, exhibitions and events to engage visitors more fully into the world of art.
Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens
The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden has several beautiful gardens and fountains that have a view of the Dallas skyline and White Rock Lake.
There is also an outdoor concert stage, a picnic area and a set of small “kid size” replicas of dwellings and other structures depicting prairie life in the "Texas Pioneer Adventure!" It is located on the southeastern shore of White Rock Lake.
Don’t forget Texas Barbeque!
Texas Barbeque is part of the Dallas (and of course Texas) culture. I recommend checking out Spring Creek Barbeque. They have an excellent menu, Texas atmosphere and reasonable prices.
On a recent vacation to Dallas I went with friends to the Spring Creek Barbeque. We had an excellent meal spiced with great atmosphere and fascinating conversation!
