The Phoenix Skyline
Sea Life Arizona Aquarium
This Aquarium has just opened in 2010! It is a themed Aquarium geared towards educating visitors and providing close encounters with various sea creatures such as starfish, seahorses, sharks, rays and many tropical fish. You will take an underwater journey to Arizona park lakes, river canyons and caver and Cabo San Lucas. You will also walk though a spectacular underwater tunnel to see amazing underwater creatures up close and personal!
Challenger Space Center
This wonderful facility brings science, technology and math literacy to life. The hands-on learning environment has been designed to spark the passions and creativity of learning in children of all ages. These programs help improve the higher level critical thinking skills required by today’s employers!
Scottsdale Art Walk
Year round on every Thursday evening (except Thanksgiving) there are more than 100 art galleries in downtown Scottsdale have an “open house” to art lovers and people watchers during the Scottsdale Artwork. Many of the facilities have the artist receptions where you can meet and talk with the featured artists. Doors open from 7:00 – 9:00 pm for this casual and eclectic event.

Desert Botanical Garden
The Desert Botanical Garden has one of the world’s finest collections of desert plants. It is one of only 44 botanical gardens accredited by the American Association of Museums. At the Desert Botanical Garden you will find 50 acres of beautiful outdoor exhibits.
This is home to 139 rare, threatened and endangered plant species from around the world, there is no finer place to enjoy desert beauty than the Desert Botanical Garden. The Garden is located in Papago Park in Central Phoenix.
This privately owned and non-profit zoo is one of the youngest in the United States.
It is totally supported by donors and private organizations (no government funding!). The Phoenix Zoo is active in wildlife conservation programs. It is open every day of the year (including December 25th). Come early in the day during the summer months since many animal head for the shade during the heat of the day.
Rawhide Western Town and Steakhouse
This is an excellent place for kids (of any age) who want to be cowboys and cowgirls. There are stagecoach rides, a petting ranch, bull riding and gold panning.
You can also experience stunt shows, see a working blacksmith, take a camel ride and go horseback riding. After your adventure you can go to the Rawhide for dinner.
