Current predictions are that there are over 8,000 life size warriors. There were also a large number of horses, chariots, weapons, armor and more. Many are still buried in the pits.
The Terra Cotta Warriors were discovered in 1974 by local farmers drilling a water well in the suburbs of Xi’an China. This discovery led to top archaeologists to investigate.
