Mackinac Island Michigan

by Sheri
(Michigan)

We love to visit Mackinac Island Michigan! It is like taking a step back in time.

You take a ferry from a nearby town to visit this great island where no cars are allowed other than ones owned by the island for public safety.

Our family loves to ride our bikes around Mackinac Island using the only state highway in the Unites States that does not allow cars! From it, we get scenic views of the Straits of Mackinac and the Mackinac Bridge.

You can also ride horses, share a tandem bike, learn some history, take a carriage tour or visit quaint shops including the famous Mackinac Island Fudge shops. It is great fun for the whole family!
